Washtenaw County was under a flood advisory, and more than 2,100 people lost power during thunderstorms that swept through the area Wednesday morning.
At 7:23 a.m., the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement, warning area residents about the storms.
The heaviest rain fell in an area between River Rouge, Canton Township and Hudson Mills.
MLive’s Mark Torregrossa forecasts that Ann Arbor could see severe weather this afternoon during a second line of storms.
Torregrossa reports straight-line winds and hail are possible, as is an isolated tornado, in southern Michigan.
